Echoes

Images in the pool shimmering mildly,
Scene after scene similar,

I molt yet remaining the snake,
Role playing to become transformed,

Looking to liberate take princess
By invoking desire in the whore,
Looking for the pure gold heart
Like a drunken prowler.

The guru who appears
Wishes for the wisdom to conquer and possess,
Unable to stay in character,
Unable to give up the act.

I am clothed but naked;
Bounded by words, yet loose;
Caressed by safety, but near catastrophe;
Deliberately not watching my step;

Bring me echoes of the familiar,
Show me not the panoramic view.
Prove to me my power and worth
Each moment I forget and need.
