Which would not surface
Solely under its own force,
But in the freedom of the moment,
And with silence and solitude,
Reflection summons the forgotten feelings of the heart
In escape of higher emotions.
As rain is repelled by arid soil
And beads up in fetal safety,
So is the nomadic soul,
Unwilling to overlook the future.
Consequences have their place,
But life is uncertain,
Love, scarce.
Those in continuous contemplation
Of tempestuous destiny do lose,
And so, I stand.
