duplications or distributions made:
In a formation possessing mathematical rigor
Like harpsichord polyphony,
A multitude of signals coexist,
Equally unaware of themselves as each other.
They resemble civilized people,
Without perspective,
Upholding thought without color or warmth,
Commuting in automitonic style.
The modern day conduit is much like
The stoic messenger racing through ancient ways,
Trained too well to entertain curiosity
And too untrained to question meaning.
Binary messages are much like any older alphabet,
And conform to wire protocol and network security
Inspired by the great seals of the western emperors.
The lustre of the newer
Blinds its user to its ties with the archaic.
What once was left up to the stars
Returns to the Stars again,
But battery operated stars have
Replaced stars in the midst of atomic combustion,
Which is more fitting to the occasion.
The messages sent between mere mortals
Never deserved more than batteries.
